Icein sat at one of the shaded corners of the tavern, keeping away from the crowds like he almost always did. It wasn't easy being a Mixling, nor did the fact that he was outside of the Mixling town made it any easier. All he wanted to do was get a few drinks and leave without any drama as he explored the towns surrounding his new temporary home in Rohm. For some odd reason being in public buildings intimated Icein a lot more than walking down a busy road, problay out of the horror stories he had heard about some of the worst things that had happened to Mixlings in the past. Some where fiction and some where not. But they still kind of scared him. But this crowd didn't seem to bad, yet.

James half walked and half staggered into the tavern, well on the way to his usual weekly binge, the same one that tended to end up with him passed out on the floor muttering about the rats stealing his shoes. It wasn't big, it wasn't clever but by God it was fun and a good enough way to fritter away the meager sum of money he had managed to earn during the course of the week. Then again, apples cost little enough, and with them it wasn't difficult to make something fairly potent.
He made his way to the bar, leaning heavily upon it whilst he ordered a drink, glancing around the tavern for a few seconds, in search of anyone he would consider worth his attention for a little time, whether they wanted that attention or not was another matter, a matter that more ale quickly dismissed from his mind until the morning or thereabouts.
With his drink in hand he took a seat next to a mixling that he saw sheltering in a corner, it seemed nice enough to look at at least, and that was all he asked...at least to begin with. "Hello there, who would you be?" He said in a soft purr, the effect of which was ruined by him misjudging the height of the table and managing to spill some of the drink down his shirt, cursing vehemently as he did so.

Icein looked at the drunken human that had joined him, slightly amused by him. "I'm Icein." He greeted. "And you might be?"

He dipped his head ever so slightly in acknowledgment of the name, "James, nice to meet you." He replied with a bright smile, "Now what brings one like you around here?" He questioned, stabbing the table with one finger on the word 'here', he got the feeling that he'd regret stabbing it quite so hard in the morning, but such was the way with all things.

"Nice to meet you too." Icein said before taking a swing from his cup. "I'm just checking out the area. I got a temporary home back in Rohm." He explained to James. "I thought the tavern would be a nice place to spend my afternoon."

He nodded at that, "There are no taverns in Rohm?" He asked him curiously. Pausing for a moment he added, "It's still afternoon?" Well, that was most likely a bad sign, he'd never live it down if he passed out before sunset. He took another swig from his tankard anyway, sobriety was not a place he wanted to visit yet.

"Well there's one... I think." Icein said. "But I heard this city is pretty popular and I just wanted to check it out." He added.

(Ah it's fine ^^)
He nodded at that, "You probably could have found somewhere more interesting than this pub." He said lightly, mind basking in the gutter as it always was. One arm moved to wrap around the other man's waist, well, no harm in trying, right?

The awkwardness of this moment kicked Icein in the stomach. "Eh," He muttered, not trying to be rude, as his chair scooted the other way a little. He guessed the guy would get the idea even while he was drunk. Going on with their conversation Icein asked "So, where do you come from?"

He sighed as the other moved his chair away, well, so much for that one. "Am I really that bad?" He asked with a slight pout, a moment later laughing. Of course this would be horribly embarrassing in the morning, but for now at least it was just funny.
James shrugged at the question, "A little village on the plains." He replied, not bothering to expand on that, it wasn't exactly interesting. "Hmm, now what about you?" He murmured.
