Character Processing Information

This is where you post your character bios.
Make sure that:

• You are posting on a character account and not your chatting account. Your first post on a character account should be their bio form.
  
• Make sure to credit all pictures. Ask the artist of the picture before you use it. DeviantArt has a lot of talented people and it's fairly easy to contact them. Just say that you're so-and-so from Blightlands (give them a link, too, so they can see us) and ask if you can use one of their pictures (include a link to the picture so they know which one). Say you're going to credit. Say whatever else you want. Just ask their permission first and if they say no, do not use the picture. For play-bys, make sure to know whose picture you're using. There are several good play-by sites if you take your time to look. I'd suggest googling for little known modeling sites. In all cases for play-bys, I'd prefer you to find a picture without modern clothing in it.
  
• Just because you posted your bio does not mean you get to role-play. A staff member, usually Jig or I, will look through your characters and point out any errors or things of debate we see, including grammar and spelling.
  
• We will be asking you questions. This is not us being mean or sarcastic or rude. We treat this as a debate or sorts; we bring up the topic and ask a question, you explain, and if you give an explanation that we like or makes sense, you get to keep it. If you keep digging a hole around yourself, we'll eventually ask you to cut that part.
  
• Do not post your bio over and over and over! Just edit the first post. It makes the board cleaner and it makes it easier to navigate and find the current bio.
  
• When the character has been edited to a satisfactory level, we will move the bio to the accepted threads. You have a character now! However, you cannot role-play until you get a banner to put in your signature to link to your bio. The banner can look however you want, as long as it links back.
  
• Once your character is accepted and get a banner, you can role-play!
  

Once your character is accepted you can add another post to the board, stating any other information you want to. This can include a list of purchased spells or a detailed list of belongings. This can also include your character's thoughts on other characters and if your character is affiliated in any guilds/whatevers.
